Menopause Age

Menopause is a natural process where the menstrual cycle that women experience ends. The normal or average menopause age for women is 51 or a few years before or after that age. Menopause age may however differ for different women. There are a few women who tend to experience menopause in their 30s as a result of a hysterectomy. Some other reasons for women experiencing early menopause may include some medical issues and chemotherapy following cancer detection. Normally though this natural biological change among women can be expected between the age of 45 and 55.

The menopause age for most women is dependent on factors such as the age when menopause was experienced by their mother and their sisters. In other words the menopause age for women is determined to a great degree by their genetics. Handling the menopause change can be quite difficult for many women and the way to smoothly handle this transition includes adopting a healthy lifestyle and following it up with exercise. Avoiding stressful situations can also help in ensuring that the transition is smooth.

Many women tend to experience certain hormone imbalance symptoms during their early thirties and late forties. These depend on several factors such as environmental factors, heredity aspects and also the onset of the menstrual cycle or the time when the woman had her first period. This hormone imbalance eventually causes different symptoms such as mild hot flushes or continuous sweating. Some women experience mild spotting while others experience heavy bleeding.

It is crucial to understand that the menopause age for a woman is also dependent on such factors as whether the woman smokes or not. Those women who smoke are expected to experience the menopause much earlier than the average menopause age. Stress levels, lack of nutrition, lack of exercise and other factors such as environmental toxins can also be contributory factors to this.

During the early 30s many women experience anovulatory menstrual cycles. The term anovulatory refers to menstrual cycles in the absence of ovulation. In spite of this the periods continue without progesterone. Many women do not have an idea about the absence of progesterone and so do not know that this can cause some symptoms. As a woman enters menopause age she may start experiencing the first signs and symptoms of menopause. The first signs of menopause as a woman enters menopause include erratic menstrual periods. These erratic menstrual periods may include very little bleeding to very heavy bleeding.

Women going through their menopause age also experience surges of estrogen. The estrogen dominance because of less ovulation and less progesterone production can result in some symptoms. These include swelling in the breasts, breast tenderness, water retention, and mood swings along with sleep disturbances. Many women also tend to put on weight in this period. Restoring of the hormone levels is crucial so that women can better face the menopause period.

Often menopause for women is also affected by the stress women experience. Over a period of time this stress can take a toll on the health and result in many women experiencing early symptoms of menopause. Caffeine and alcohol can also play a part in women experiencing early menopause symptoms.
